Anyone who would not fight for their rights does not deserve to have them. Also the draft wont happen...in case you haven't noticed we have the strongest army in the world and even with our people in Iraq we have plenty more at home just waiting.
You have it all wrong. Just because I don't want to fight for the rights I have doesn't mean I don't care. To me, my life is the most important thing. I will not fight in a war that is pointless and that hurts this country. I will not fight for one of the dumbest presidents in the history of the US.
Now please, hush your patriotic crap. I know you are with Bush on all of this, but I think you have just pushed it too far. You are entitled to your own opinion, but you have no right to force it on others. But wait a minute, isn't that what Bush did in Afghanistan and Iraq? Forcing a working government into chaos, then "trying" to reconstruct it into a democracy? Please, that was a very stupid move by the Bush administration. We are basically doing what the Europeans did in the past when they put up artificial borders in South-West Asia and Africa. All Bush knows how to do is **** people off. I'm one of 'em.
As for the US having the strongest army, that doesn't mean we are plentiful. Although in a few years I'm sure the numbers will rise, because the worse education funding gets and the value of life dissolves, all these 18 year olds will have is the Army, Navy, etc. We have more police officers in New York city than we do in Afghanistan. But when you think about it, we dont even need an army! If we had just let the UN take control and the organizations they worked for, I'm sure the US wouldn't be hated worldwide like it is today.
Another reason to move to Canada (not to just be sucked into a senseless war) is that social security will soon be screwed over in this country. Once it is privatized, say goodbye seniors. When I move to Canada, the first thing I will do is tune into the news to see what BBC has to say. Of course, I can always go to the website, but hey, people don't seem to think the internet matters when trying to prove a point. All they do is whine and complain that the site is biased.
So once again SpoonMan999, maybe you should stay away from politics. I don't care what you say, it's wrong. It's not because I'm left-sided on the issue or that I am seen as "hard headed," but you truly have no idea what is going on. Please, never talk about politics again, as you stated you would do a few months ago.
