For those of you to lazy to goto the site yourself.
Written by netter Sunday, 29 January 2006 It seems like Blizzard's new tactic to destroy the pre-emptive anti-detection measures of EasyPlay (the modsigs) is now to send slightly modified modsigs every couple of hours out to everyone. This will cause you to get a new failed modsig in a regular basis and make it impossible for us to tell when a real update of warden has occured. I have yet come accross a module that actually detects EasyPlay, so you can rest assured if you already had added previous modsigs. The aforementioned is the reason why I released EasyPlay v2.4, as there was no sign of detectability. That the modsig strategy is now unusuable though, means that there is a higher risk involved at using EasyPlay, as we will most likely only know if EasyPlay was updated after someone is banned (i.e. it's impossible for me to keep analyzing slightly modified warden modules every couple of hours).
I will now start working on a new system to make signatures from the warden modules, but this might take a long while. In the meanwhile, the security advisory for EasyPlay is: Use at your own risk. There is a good chance that you will be banned at some later point, if you keep adding modsigs (which you will have to, if you want to use EasyPlay on the realms). Do NOT blame me if this happens, and make sure to read the EasyPlay EULA in the EasyManual, before using. I've remove the download links, because it's simply too risky for the moment. IF you care about your account/cd-key, I suggest you stop using EasyPlay now!
