Ok... people mostly say bands that represent them, using music as an identity or a representation of them self. The first thing to making a good list is to seprate these representations we have for certain songs and certain bands and try to look at the music scene objective and collective. Maybe ask yourself... "How does Thrice's album 'Artist and the abumlance' compare to Metallica's black album?
The list faulty cause it contains people's ignorance and arrogance for the one thing we probably all respect a great deal: music. So next time you think of puutin up a band, try stepping outside of your ideologies and embrace the band/artist as one comapred to the rest.
