Q about wireless routers

To help protect your Network, I would say you should encrypt it, and also have it password protected. If you type your IP address into your address bar, your router's configuration settings should pop up. If it asks for a default admin username and password, the username is usually admin, and the password field left blank.

There should also be some security wizards on that page that can help you through protecting and securing your wireless network.
