It's not exactly dropping connection:
Battle.Net will report a timeout before the client does.
Almost every server side method involves lag.
Being able to have Battle.Net report timeout before anything client side does happen is effectively desynching client from server.
There isn't any need for packets, except maybe to report an active connection to Battle.Net
The goal is to convince a Save and Exit before actually getting connection interrupted.
Yes, it may sound stupid that I'm using Zone Alarm to do this, but actually putting a modem into standby often will report absolutely no internet connection between the modem and computer. Instant Connection Interrupted.
Back to where we were:
Button A: Allows to drop and regain connection without dropping.
Second game can't be made during this.
Button B: Connection can be dropped, but not regained.
Second game CAN be made, but the first client lags right out when attempting Save and Exit.

Edit:
Well, we're getting somewhere, first client must have reported a Save and Exit. I duped a Tome of Town Portal.
I'll try and reproduce that.

Edit edit:
Also, notice the time frame between original post and edit, that's the kind of speed we're looking at.

Whoops, forgot that it updates when I've last edited.
It took me less than 4 minutes.
