When religon failed or moved into the foreground out came political systems backed by religous ideals.
You can call it what you want and have as many gods and demi-gods as you want but in the end its just a control mechanism.
Wow. That was exactly what the video said. Although I am a bit skeptical about that exactly happening. Did you watch it Obfuscate? The first 20 minutes talks about God. The last parts are about government conspiracy.
