The Mob Wrote:two partitions just mean that your hard drive is split virtually. for instance, i have both a c and d drive. when i originally installed xp, i told it to create two sections, ie, c and d. now since i also have an external, which is drive g, i could technically have three instances running at once.
there is a way to have multiple bots though, without resorting to having multiple positions. i think it was as simple as renaming the d2 folder to something else, and just reinstalling. i remember i guy did it on here.. and posted the process. im just too lazy to search for it
Interesting. I do understand what a partition is, working in the IT industry for the last 8 years kind of brought me up to speed

However, I don't understand how that will allow me to run multiple instances of D2 -- when Diablo II runs, it's looking for the GAME.EXE process, even if you're running the GAME.EXE process from a different partition, or hell, different hard drive alltogether - then you're still running GAME.EXE and Windows is going to pick it up and tell you you're denied.
I tried searching for that thread, I haven't had much luck. I'll let you know if I do find it.
I'm not looking for this to bot, just for the record. I need this to mule those godly items !
