Hi necroholic's and others alike.
I'm planning on making a poison necro as my first hardcore character. He will played in a party most of the time and so poison immunes won't be much of a problem, well atleast when one comes along it gives me a few minutes to sit back and spectate. Anyhoo, the following layout is how I plan my necro build to look like:
Main Skills
- 20 Poison Dagger
- 20 Poison Explosion
- 20 Poison Nova
- 1 in pereq's
Curses
- 5 Lower Resist
- 1 in pereq's
Summons:
- 1 Fire Golem
- 5 Golem Mastery
- 1 in pereq's
With the above skill allocation, my necro will be complete at level 82 (not including extra skill from quests) My question is this, is a fire golem a viable choice for pvm team play?
I was thinking that, because I will be in a party most of the time, skellies would cause lag to a number of players with poor connections and lag does kill. However, fire golem seems, to me, a valuable party player. He could gather all the creeps together and thus allowing me to make great use of my poison skills. Also many other party members, depending on their skills could greatly benefit from my fire golem.
My equipment is un-decided yet, because I will be playing no twinkly ding. However, once my stash is up and running I will most likely be trading for full trang's and such. So, sooner or later, I will have my hands on most, if not all the trangs set pieces.
So, basically there you have it! My soon to be poison necro, once I have obtained enough information to decide whether my fire golem is a good choice and whether or not my skill allocation is good in general.
