there is something wrong with my command prompt and I don't know how to fix it. I've never really used Command Prompt so I don't have any experience with it. the error message says
'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitbale for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.'
if anybody has any suggestions on how to fix that, I would be very thankful.

Does this happen when you try and open something or just go straight to cmd?

My guess is the file is corrupted, or missing.
Try searching it up, see if it's there.
Try going to Start > Run, and type cmd and press enter.
Also what OP system?

If you have a legit disk I think you can get comp to boot from CD and goto repair. Did you try going to Start > Run and typing cmd?
If those don't work try seeing if you can get the file from a friend and put it in the right folder, if still can't reformatt would be the last option... =-/
