I'm sorry but if you could buy a good car for the price of your comp, you're just dumb, lol...
mine was 800CND 2.8ghz, 256 DDR ram, 40gb hd, cd-rw/dvd, came with a nice kb and mouse, speakers, webcam(a nice one) + microphone. I've never had a problem with it, so I don't know why I'd need anything more.. Except that apps open a little slow so I want a bit more ram, but that's it!!

barely anyone understands they difference of why mac processors are so much faster then pentium, but, an 800 mhz G4 processor is 80% faster then a 1.8 ghz pentium, its been proven by doing to same tasks on both (which, i have done myself), and i must say, its pretty sad that pentium is such low quality, hence y i use AMD, although, sometime this month, apple is gonna make its 1st cheap comp, With iPod-savvy Windows users clearly in its sights, Apple is expected to announce a bare bones, G4-based iMac without a display at Macworld Expo on January 11 that will retail for $499, it will be a 1.25Ghz(and because of how much better quality it is, if an 800 mhz is faster then 1.8 ghz pentium, it will be at least equal to a 2.5 ghz pentium)

I don't get it, considering Hertz is a measure of rotations per second(am I wrong?), it makes no sense it's like saying, this car going 100mph is faster than this car going 100mph.. because it's better. Or are they sticking labels on one's that are actually double the speed just to look cool

you gotta know more about computers then just mhz ghz etc. the reason it is faster, is it has less pipelines, pipelines is what acually does the computing, the less you have, the faster it gets results, the mac only has 7 pipelines, where the pc has like 20 i think it is (cant remember the exact amount), when it starts processing, it has to fill up the pipelines before it can output any data, so, the less you have, the faster they fill up, the faster you get results, if pentium had the same pipelines, then it would be faster, because it would fill the pipeline up quicker

if 2 cars are going 100 mph, and 1 has a big engine, while the other has a small engine, the small 1 is most likely going to run at a higher rpm to go the same speed as the bigger engine, while the bigger engine doesnt work at the same rpm, but goes the same speed (slower rpm same speed is like the mac running at a slower mhz, but same speed)
