the zonfire hero editor v.07 is out, actually.
it works for 1.10 (not beta) well, and with only a few bugs.
I managed to snag it off of the ladderhall forums, and I can upload it here if ya'll like...it's a really sweet editor.
actually, i can't post it here, it's like 5 mb.
how can i get it to you guys? ftp?

I get a BAD DEAD BODY error when I try to import an item from a ( itemname.d2i ) file. Is there any way to import .d2i files? You can get them all over the net but so far I havent found an editor that can use them.

Hero Editor V0.7 will automatically check items (*.d2i) when you try to import them into your character file. By default, Hero Editor will not let you import a V1.09D item into a V1.10 character file. Similarily, it will not let you import a V1.10 item into a V1.09D character file. I did this to help prevent you from getting "bad dead bodies" errrors when you try to load your character into a game.
So, if you have a V1.10 character, and Hero Editor is not letting you load these "new" items, then the "new" items are probably either V1.09D or V1.10s beta items. If the items are V1.09D items, then you may be able to convert them into V1.10 items. To do this, load the V1.09D items into a V1.09D character, load the V1.09D character into a V1.10 game, and save/exit the V1.10 game. The result will be that the V1.09D character and items will get converted into a V1.10 character and items. Open the "new" V1.10 character in Hero Editor, and export the items. I highly recommend that you keep your V1.10 items in a SEPARATE DIRECTORY from your V1.09D items.
If you don't have any V1.09D characters, use Hero Editor V0.7 to create a new V1.09D character. Look for the "New 1.09D" button in the Extras window, in the "Item/Character Create" tab.
If you are unsure about whether your character is V1.09D, V1.10s beta, or V1.10 format, open the character in Hero Editor, and look in the main window, in the Stats tab, next to "Version Number".
FYI, there are a few "legit" items, mainly some set items, that don't get decoded properly in Hero Editor V0.7. These will presently get deleted from the character file when the character is loaded into Hero Editor. I have this fixed in the version of Hero Editor that I am working on (not ready to release yet).
BTW, if you are using Diablo II Non-Expansion (NOX), you will need to get Hero Editor V0.71 instead. Hero Editor V0.71 supports the file structure for NOX, but it will not limit you from "using" expansion items and stats, so it is up to YOU NOX PEOPLE to make sure you use only NOX features.

why would you want v0.66? v0.7 is the one you want.
I am at work so I can not download it and see for myself, but does v0.7 take into account synergies and properly calculate as need be? I read the whole thread but never saw that specifically addressed.
Thanks for the help.
