ww blocking

Does the block from your shield factor into your blocking when you ww? I need to know if I really need to get max block on my barb. o.o

anyone know? IT is kinda hard to test it and knowing the answer could potentially save me alot of stat points.

im gonna look at this hypothetically, if you must stand still to ww, u probably have 75% block if u got enough dex. meaning it should count towards your blocking

test it on open~

most people wont try to attack you when your whirlwinding anways. If they do they probably be dead

Well I will tell you off the bat that while you are whirlwinding your block goes down a great deal. I hope that answers your question.

A little birdy told me to pop up for a last time and help out. There is a way to block ww. If your dexterity is high enough with the proper shield, you can block ww. Best thing to fight against it is to move to the side and counter with a spell. Fist of the heavens and any broad cast on a ww user should work. during a whirlwind, the barb cannot avoid the next attack until the whirlwind is complete so that may give you some idea on what to do.

ww has the same disadvantage like berserk, when in use, chance to block (ctb) drops to zero for a brief time and on occasion, will stop the resistances to make them "float." Floating is when the resistances show on the screen but in fact have dropped to an unknown variable (number). I have done testing on it on both open and closed and the result varies on open depending on the amount of resistance used. I will not disclose the amount needed but i'll tell you that anything over 2000 is too much and will roll over to about 100 or less.

here is an example of bnet calculation of 2000%
2000/2/2-127

bit tricky but obvious for some.

I'm not smart. I just know what I am doing 20% of the time while the rest of the time its basic assumption and action. Best blocking for ww is an assasssin carrying a few increased block charms. My assassin from the past had a 255% ctb that blocked just about all attacks.

nice percentage on that ctb

the limit is usually only 75% but there is no limit on an assassins ctb due to the weapon block skill.
