um, could someone explain the whole values of the yen/dollar/canadian currency relation? like, what happens and what it means if one is worth more than the other? i never got that...i'm just a simpleton...lol...but the US will most certainly never attack Canada, they're just too peaceful and dormant in the north. why would we need to? they're not hostile to us, nor have they ever been, to the best of my knowledge.

Actually many many years ago the US considered invading Canada and sent a small party up to check what their defenses were like and a crafty Canadian decided to dress up like the British so the US troops fled and the plan was forgotten.
And the currency thing...it's just comparing how much you can buy with a dollar compared to a yen. So since one dollar buys more than one yen you would see how much yen is equal to one dollar and the comparison is made that way. It's our way of going "My paper is worth more...loser!"
