The thing is that I don't exactly know how to do the blending. I just used the brush to get rid of the edges of the render because I don't know how to blend them. Like making the face fade out.

Select the layer on the platelete[sp?] and select vector mask or sth like that..

You gotta resize it, dude. My guess is that your software pretended to downsize it for you so it wouldn't fill up the entire screen and you took it to be the real size.
