I think this one should be fairly obvious...I mean who needs the xtra defense when ur melee char is now gonna kill in a couple of blows. However, I'm being unfair to a runeword that makes 1.2k defense...still the Phoenix's qualities are just more impressive, which is why I say it's better...

true its ability to place edemption on ur char if i remember the stats rite is amazing. u coudl theoretically life 4 ever and own 2x faster then normal if there are bodies around also u could screw over a summon nec. phoenix all the way plus if i am correct u can put it in a pali shield with res and bam u got some res added to it.

well this depends now.... exile with an eth vortex has a higher base dmg on a shield (i think), smite dmg is ike 2x its 5-87 dmg when eth, so 10-174 i think. but then again.... u had 10-174 smite dmg with a max of 65% ed added.. or u have 465% ed with 5-87 smite dmg... i think phoenix is a tiny bit stronger, and just use dracs for lifetap
