Peer-to-Peer
#1
is it safe to use peer-to-peer?
#2
nothing is ever truly safe. I've had friends get virus's from just running kazaa. So basically, make sure you have a firewall (i use mcafee) and its updated. Scan file you download for virus's. Using mIrc and torrents are usually safer, but still not completely safe.

u kno peer-to-peer leaves a nice gap in the firewall that is how u connect to other comps you open your own computer to them and there to your and is a way for viruses to get in unnoticed, kazaa sucks i use bearshare its not safer but faster with less ads
#5
I use Bit Torrent for music downloads.
#6
i can never get bit torrent to work for me dunno y but it maybe its the version i got i got version like 1.0 i think i removed it ,from my comp but if ya tell be it will be preaceated
#7
I dunno. Most copies that are downloaded are beta versions which don't work very well. www.suprnova.org has many downloads for bit torrent.

I've found that Limewire is pretty good, theres never any ad's and the dl's are pretty short.

kazaa is already a virus software...spywares all over..
limewire works the best for me...currently trying to find kazaa lite..
