Spyware?

Does C3po or Mousepad install spyware? I was told they do. I am still confussed as to which to get. Can anyone help there? And does the lag reducer link from this forum need any other software with it to help it work, before I install it?

I don't know if the MH programs have spyware/keyloggers integrated, but I've been using C3PO for quite some time and my account is fine. Just dont load the MH until AFTER you sign in to battle.net. As for the lag reducer, it's just an .mpq, you just unzip it to your D2 directory, you might want to backup the original first. Also, please note that the link was not posted by staff here, is not hosted at D2S, and cannot be guaranteed. If you use this patch and lose an account or get banned, we are not responsible.

Thanks for the help cat! Have you ever heard of maphack110 sting from geo city clan? And know anything about it? also found a d2 laoder there, know wat that is? I probably go with c3po but im checking them all out.

hydro well it depends on where you download the file from, if you download it from a sketchy website your probably going to get some malicious files included with the install, yet if you download the file from a "safe" website like D2Sector it most likely wont include anything that will affect your computer.

Thank you for your information. Got any tips on how to install and use c3p0? I understand the part about not loading it until after you into b . net.
