Hacking Accounts???

This guy came in my room and said type ( /dnd account name and pass ) what happens?

from what i know (not much), it posts your acct name and pass either in the room or something else... just dont ever do it.

Also avoid monster kill count scams.

Viper, this is a scam many users are using despite how old and aware moster players are of it. They can say it in all variations, (/w *accountname /dnd accountname password), just plain (/dnd accountname and pass) im sure people can think of otherways too. The only reason you should be using this command is if your enabling/disabling Do not disturb mode, wich is just /dnd.

if you are unsure about any commands when people tell you to type it just try typing something like /dnd ? of /? or maybe /help .... etc etc. im at work curerently say of course i cant check the cmds

but whatever you do i would suggest to NEVER NEVER type your password while on open or bnet. personally i think you should have something to back up your d2 chars. i will work on making some sort fo software to back them up sutomatically, hows that sound? (might not help with someone hacking your account but it will help when you need to show bnet proof that the are your chars.)

They just tell you to type that, so you enable DND mode and then they whisper you and it gives them your account information.

It's like an AIM away message somewhat, they whisper you and get whatever message you leave. E.g. "/dnd I'm eating"

well i know in d1 that if you typed /dnd instead of /away your name would appear with an "x" on it instead of being just away. more of an away message for hours instea dof mins.

If you type say... /dnd I'm mfing, then someone whispers you, it will say 'user is busy(I'm mfing)'

So if you type /dnd account and pass, then the guy whispers you and it says 'user is busy(account and pw)'

So... just don't, has happened to a lot of people but it says on bnet screen in red letter that Blizzard will NEVER ask for your password for ANYTHING. So. Think.

most likely one of the oldist scams I know lol but ya if you write /dnd or /brb (your account Pass)

then they just whisper you when your done and just leave and steal your pass lol!

if you think about it, even if there was a "monster kill count" it wouldnt need your account OR password, because your logged in under YOUR account with your pass, so it would just be able to look at you account name and be able to tell who you are
