I thought i'd make this thread to let players borderlining between any which necromancer class.
I dont know jow to justify this but my recommendation is that the best PvM and PvP necromancer build is the 'summoner' build.
I dont have rich items and was only able to get +5 to my summon tab. With my items, i focused on max block which i achieved through 'whitstans guard' [orphans call shield] and pumping up my life looking for vita/squid and so on suffixes. I maxed skeleton mastery, rasie skeleton and skeleton magi supplementing my minions with a fire golem, might merc, revives and amplify damage. I successfully solo'd through nightmare and hell act1. If this is what i can do with poor items, imagine the glory with the high end items.
I'm going for ...
Merc
Highest possible armour= Bramble
War Pike= Breathe of the dying
Vampire gaze [for reduced damaged]
Necromancer
[what i'm aiming for atm]
Scepter= Beast [aura for minions]
Ancient Armour= Chains of Honour
Homuculcus or Troll nest= Sanctuary
Fit in the bits and pieces.
Sojs, bul-kathos, mara's, annihilus and charms of vita and +1 summons.
Once thats all done, you got your self one whopper of a copper!
i think that the ancient armor CoH is pretty pointlesss....i mean skeletons in pvp arent effective unless u tele right next to the enemy.....this would require you to use enigma.....and being a necromancer.....i would suggest a BP nigma if u dont want to waste pts in str....or an archon nigma....and for the scepter i think its not that reasonable i mean if u have like 12 skeltons and 11 mages or more....and u tele with them and they all attack it doesnt really matter how fast they attack....your opponent is bound to die.....so i would suggest Arm of King Leoric....gives great + skills and gives mana ......but then again if u think about it.....put up a summoner necro vs a good bone necro w/ nigma and u tele then u get bonespeared...ur skeletons are alll close to you and they are pretty much toast not to mention you yourself

This would be true, except for the fact that there would be over 20+ skelos and revives. They all absorb the damage, and chances are it won't hit your necromancer. PvP skelemasters reduce the damage of there bone spells such as bonespirit and bonespear for more skeletons//summons. So a skelemancer would own a full bone mancer.

ya but u see bone spear goes through everything in its path....including the skeletons and the necro.....so its just so happens if u shoot the necro with bone spear....hell take uber dmg seeing as you cant have magic resists....... ^^

I agree, and with the right revived monster... your enemy is as good as dead. Just revive the salamanders that fire bone spear... 20 of those and thers nowhere to run.
Oops. I didn't realise enigma had the +skills bonous. Of course i'd chose that... and the massive defense bonus... hell yeah.
A summoner necro equipped with telport ability seems almost unstoppable. And for bone spear, u'd have to be a very good shot to hit a necro who runs at incredible speeds let alone teleports. And with the necro warriors keeping the opposing busy by constantly blocking, the duel is one... victor to the necro summoner. nuff said

Lol you do know there is this thing called bone spirit right? i mean ud be running like a frantic mouse from a cat.......dude its not that hard to hit someoen with spear...i mean cmon FCR u can cast like bone spear in a circle around ur self.... lol if u know what i mean....... plus revives are garbage why does everyone say they are good..... plus how are u supposed to revive to snakes that shoot bone spears....? u gonna go do a baal run b4 we dual?.....lol not likely man.........cmon just admit it man......oh btw a good psn necro could kick ur *** easy.....friggin lower resist the whole screen then spam psn nova like theres no tomorrow......over 2k dmg every 2 seconds on each friggin nova and ur good as dead
:laugh: trust me dude i know these things from experience.... summoner necros are good and all.....but the downside is that u have to rely on ur AI to win......and ur talking about D2 man lol no offense... but you cant say that the AI is great .....skeletons run around....and just die........:p sooooooo point proven

nah i think that if you have enough summons and you tele RIGHT next to the opponent, AI is irrelevant, almost, because they will all find the enemy right away if they're close enough, and that many attacks at once are bound to kill him/it/demon.

I learned from my mistake by taking my 7k damage barb against a lvl 98 summoner...all i can say is he wasted my *** so fast because the skeletons are so strong and withstand my attacks that I ww into the middle and got raped.

why shouldnt i underexistimate summoners .. like wow they can hit like 700 big woop its not great maybe you can pvm so whats the point if u think u can duel i bet you a boner necro can use teeth a couple times and all ur skeles die

I got my necromancer from lvl 20 to lvl 80 today.

I can have 13 skeleton and mages (26) with bo, and 1 skeleton and mage without (28) so far.
1 golem with good life. (29)
And am training an holy freeze merc now.(i dont waste doom to a merc)(30)
skeletons have 1k life in hell+ what they get from the BO, and i have 2k life with my BO.
As that werent enough, i have an oak sage to boost the life of me and my army even more.
I still havent traded to me any skillers, but i dont wanna know how strong my skellys will be then.
Anyway, IM kills all melee chars, and i use amplify on the rest.
The result is very good, cause i only lost to a hammerdin and a windy druide so far.
I know psn necro would kill my army, but there are to few of them to worry about that.
Great build and all who dont belive me can kiss my anus.

items is not a problem cuz i got them all but how u play good with them if u die u have to remake everythin all over again....

some people have no life lolz but i know summoner necos have to do good damage if ur gonna duel if you are weak dont do pvp when you teleport to ur enemy they will just destroy you

zoomancers have the advantage in hell game duel's i'd assume? With the right revived monsters, teleport next to your foe then let destiny take its place? your minion landsa critical hit, victor to the mancer... right?

Revives only last 3 minutes if you are lucky, so therefor they arrent used in PvP.
Skelletons are last to they die, therefor they are the one used, and if wont have anything to say wich monster you use.
If you were to use revives, then you had to get to a place where you could get some strong ones, then you have 3 min to get to the duel place and finnish them off before the time limt.
I think you understand this will never happen.
If you will kill someone when teleport to them, that is not for sure.
All depends more on the level of your necromancer, than on the skill.

I'm starting to doubt the summoners duelling capabilites. My poor summoner duelled a foh'er/conviction. heck he used holy bolts to wipe out my army. It was a fun duel so thers the weakness ppls. summers= loss against foh'er
and yes, u'd have to be very fast to get in and out with the right monsters. Rich zoo's would own. poor zoos wouldn't. Its natures rule- survival of the fittest.

Had a zoomancer with 45 revives and he sucked.
FoH will wipe out your army if the skeletons are weak, or was in normal.
Summoners rules:
1: Get your minions past lvl 40 in skill and battle in hell
2: Make sure your minions have over 70% resist all
3: Make sure you have full resist and alot of life
4: You must have enigma
5: Make sure you are higher lvl than the char you are batteling against for easy combat
6: Make sure you Maxed IR, cause you will have high enough amplify with skill+ items

Thats beyond rich! Its a goal we all aspire to reach. Hold up, zoo works excellent in nightmare and hell PvM, i know from expereience, and i'm poorer then poor. I'm just concerned about pvp capabailities. I thought he had it

No, he dont have PvP options, unless you fightning lvl 9 characters. :p
