Anyone excited for guild wars?

Hmm looks pretty cool, I might read up on it a little more and possibly preorder it, btw i couldnt find its release date.

[indent]Guild Wars is currently in alpha testing on a daily basis, and holds beta testing during Beta Weekend Events, the next of which begins on January 7th. We will take as much time as necessary to balance and polish the game based on feedback received during beta testing. We anticipate that we will release Guild Wars in early 2005.

i love the way they did the world system, when your in town, everyone on is there, but when you go into the wilderness, the only people there are people in your party, or NPC's, it gives each party its own wilderness area, and it reserves items for people in your party, like the 1st item will go to someon, 2nd will go to someone else etc. and when someone picks up gold, no matter who picks it up, each person gets 1 gold, so, if 1 gold drops, someone will get that one gold, but the next time gold drops, it goes to someone else, other then the person who last got it. so if you have a party of 3, and 1 gold drops, no matter who picks it up, it will go to, lets say person1, then if 2 gold drops, no matter who picks it up, 1 gold will go to person 2 and 3, its pretty cool, cause it gives a fair chance for everyone, since it reserves items so only 1 person can pick it up, and the only people outta town is your party
