What Nightshiver was saying that in the new patch (1.10) The Physical Absorb as almost completely killed, but can still be attained using a high level Mana Shield (sorc skill) with lots of Mana and Mana Regeneration.
This takes the physical damage and turns it into "let's make him loose mana" damage.
Hopefully this helps a bit =)

you ppl are stupid. If you want to make an "invincable dueler" (open.. dur) Just make a 1.09 read only with pi and nv dodge, avoid, evade, and weapon block.
Thats it wee. Can't be hit by normal attacks and you absorb smites physical damage.

I believe there still exists a bug with flamebellow and barbarian leap whichs prevents your life from going under 1.

dude listen, say u go to akara to heal and have full life yet ur life says:
8000/100000
u actually have the whole 100k. once ur life hits 0 it flips back up to like 32,xxx
and starts goind down again until all 100k gone as for ur mana i duno, u fuxd it up somehow.
