You only need to install the game once if you are using D2loader. To get D2loader working, you have to:
-Download it.
-Cut or Copy then paste it into your D2 folder.
-Click "Yes" to overwrite.
If you want to play without the CD, you have to:
-Copy these files from the Diablo II CD: d2char.mpq d2music.mpq, d2xmusic.mpq d2xvideo.mp.
-Paste them into the D2 folder.

thanx but it stil didnt work. it seems loader dosent work on my comp. damn but about running 2 copies of d2 on my comp how do i properly do that.

Dark, when you open Diablo using D2loader, did you open it using the file called "Diablo II" or "Game"?
Try making a shortcut of D2loader, then using that to load up Diablo.

thats the ezest way i've found of doing it, 2 HD's, if its already installed on C, then just move it to the other, to get it off C, then just reinstall on C

get 2 cd keys get 1 on C 1 on D and even though itll lagg like crazy it will run

not neccisarly, i used to run 3-4 D2 on a P3-1 ghz. cable internet, barely lagged

lucky u, but i share connection with my laptop so my ports are a bit diff and connection is diff speed and stuff

Unless I'm wrong, you should be able to copy the whole Diablo 2 directory and put in a different folder. I've never tried it, but theres no reason I'm aware of that would stop it from working....
