I am sure that everyone, like myself, are extremely appreciative of Zonfire's efforts in producing what I am sure is an excellent editor, however, as a stumbling novice I suspect I am not using it correctly and wonder whether anyone else is also getting routine error messages such as: " file is too small to be an item" , " this item does not appear to be a 1.10 item" , " item is too large to fit at this location" as well as " bad dead bodies " , Bad generic file data " when trying to open the game with an edited character. I have used exclusively only 1.10 items during these error messages which clearly were not in violation as the messages indicated, however had previously entered the editor with 1.09 items that had already been introduced and reprocessed by 1.10 game exposure. yet were not actually originally 1.10 game spawns. Could that have contaminated my installation. I welcome comments from anyone who has the time. Sincerely, Bluesky53 [email protected]

most of those error msgs are from items that exceed the limit...i.e. 511 ed is max and you set it as 8000 or you only have hell baal and not norm baal quest done. make sure you char is legit as possible just to see if it works, then try doin some crazy mods. if nothing works just dl the program again

Joswann1, Would you be so good as to tell me where I would go inside the editor to make a numerical "8000 " setting ? Is that done somewhere in the Extras screens?

It is disheartening to spend countless hours trying to dicipher the proper approach for effectively using Zonfire's v7 1.10 editor. I am extremely grateful to have it and truly admire his computer skills, yet , being a novice, I am struggling to understand it's practicible applications. I seek advice from forum members who mean well , but speak with alienating reference to my problems leaving me as confused as ever. If someone could step by step describe the editor's configuration and setup for an xp pc in short simple statements of instruction , I would not have any pronblems. It seems , however that , though respondents to my questions mean well, they assume that I am as software savy as they are. I have an MBA and not all that dense. If someone asked me something, I would answer assuming they knew nothing at all and include preliminary fundamental basic information to assure we are on the same page and that my answer makes sense. I don't expect anyone to take that kind of time though, and, am still appreciative of whatever advice I do recieve.

Ok, I will look for the base set editing files and not experiment with trial and error adjustments, which may have been part of my problem. I think you are more than right Jossawn about myself not trying to change anything I am unfamilar with, which by the way, includes most things lol . I will work with it some more. I understand that it is next to impossible to clearly communicate some things to a novice as myself and I do very much appreciate your time in trying to help me. Thank you , Bluesky [email protected]

I hope that half the fun with having a new editor is the challenge and struggle to understand it. In that case I am having the time of my life. I hope eventually sometime down the road though, that I might quit having quite so much fun and, instead have a viable workable usable editor .
