Why werent the 290s deleted?

omg i read the first page of this and i cant believe you dont know what a 290 is... a 290 is an item blizzard made and circulated through 1.10... they arent possible to find and theres only small ammount of them until blizzard occasionaly ciculates more into the game

Well even though 290 is the maximum, I think that bugged charms are still randomly generated. And since I saw one that did over 300 psn in Non-Ladder, I have a feeling it was a bugged charm.

It probably is bugged since the prefixes and suffixes don't agree. That or it's insanely rare and the other drops were bugged.

Ok first of all you don't know what your talking about. Blizzard doesn't circulate 290's around. 290's are increasing by the hundreds daily because people dupe them. If Blizzard had the chance they would delete them all, but they are just a bit lazy. Blizzard didn't make the 290. It is a glitched charm just like the other ones that have more than 275 psn dmg. Like the others said, the prefix/suffix don't agree. Hopefully one day there will either be a mass deletion of 290's or 290's will be so widely common (Just like 09 hexes) that their worth will die quickly.

as far as bugged items go, that is a pretty tame attribute. I think blizzard concentrates more on duping sets and uniqes than a charm that does huge poison damage. I don't think they see the massive advantage that the charm give you. most items have a unique id that helps with dupe deletion, but charms/gems/runes do not. I think that is the loophole that makes them a continuing problem

eventually (before the next diablo is released) they will have duping a thing of the past. Has anyone ever played diablo on playstation? if you have and tried to dupe using a memory card switch, you'll find they are getting much more clever than you probably think. They delte duped items with a swiftness never before seen!! lol

Yupyup. If Blizzard deletes 290s, about the entire economy of Diablo 2 would crash. Since 290s are the common currency.
