Speakers have static
#1
Ok, I got some new speakers, they're not blown or anything, but for some reason they have lots of static. The only explanation I had was that the subwoofer is by the speakers. Any ideas?
#2
Maybe your sound card isn't set up properly for them? Download drivers maybe?

Hmm. Maybe. I'll try that.

Realtek is my card. Anyone know their site? =o

Didn't it come with a CD? If it didn't try doing windows update, or goto the driver and there might be an update link

Well try windows update, click custon update if you have XP not the express, that's how I updated mine.
Could also jsut be a really old sound card... have you been upgrading your computer and forgot that or was it custom made?

The wires could be crap. Or the plug isn't in the jack all the way.
#9
Pretty sure it's not the cables... It helps if I turn my treble down... But I got newest drivers and I'll test them tomorrow, mom doesn't want music. =(

If not, take it back...
