Legal or Illegal
#21
Have you ever thought about it in perspective of drugs not being illegal as long as you dont get caught?

one reason pot will never be legalized in the USA is because the goverment cna not tax it. Plain and simple.

Well, making it legal just so less people are arrested seems rather moronic, doesn't it? Also, Archer does make a lot of sense. The government won't gain from it, so why not make it seem like the spawn of Satan. I'm not sure about my stance on pot, but cigs should definately be outlawed. It causes lung cancer, and that is proven 400,000 times every year. If you don't believe me... Here you go: http://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/research_data...ortali.htm

Cigs need to go. Plain and simple. They are quite literally pointless. (Other than taxes the gov. collects off of them) Pot, in it's purest form, is less harmful than Cigarettes, but still harmful. It also alters your state of mind and/or motor skills, which is just as bad as alcohol. Speaking of alcohol, it should be outlawed also. Although it would be nearly impossible to enforce, it should be outlawed. All other drugs (LSD, Crack, ETC.) should remain illegal. Back to pot and cigarettes... Cigarettes are lethal, it's been proven. Pot is lethal, not in the same way, but still it can be lethal. (car crashes, accidents, etc.) Anyway, I could go on debating about this for hours, but won't. This is my opinion that they should all be illegal.

If drug's were legalized they would actually become much safer, because the companies that produced them would only improve on the mixtures.
And half the damn crime crime in the U.S. would be gone along with helping us regain so much money that we seemed to have misplaced.

How do you fix half the wrongs in the U.S.? You legalise Drugs and Prostitution. Why do you think the illegal stuff is still illegal? Because it's bad for us? LMAO Nope. It's because drug companies and Christians dont like them.
Drug companies dont like the idea that something that could help can be cheaper then thier lumbering giant prices.

I don't spend all my time here, that's just what I believe. They should be illegal. Doing no good and for the most part they are just a waste of time.
My dear, im no loser, and im certainly not a waste of sapce, and i recreationaly use drugs with friends, we have a good time with no other effects, we aren't addicted or any of that. people should know their limits. Plus, you shouldn 't just loosely throw a "useless junkie" Title on all drug users, which is what i was saying to erizoe. and as for the WHOLE lot of drugs being made legal, or illegal, who are ourselves to tell other people what to do? why should you decide if someone else isnt allowed to smoke, even if they want to and do.

Yes, that's true and I'm sorry. But I have a good reason for throwing that around because there a few people that I've ever heard of or seen that know... when they've reached a limit.
All I hear in this town is drugs and alcohol being abused and people dying or being injured. I know you never hear about those that do it and are fine but it's getting out of hand and if you made it legal... just going to get worse.

If it was legalised though the major issues with drugs would be fixed very fast and there would be many new law's on them that would be easier to enforce then this war against drugs.

Well, the government shouldn't just let people do what they want to do, that would be horribly stupid. Legalizing dangerous and addictive drugs would practically brain**** generations of working people, easily screwing up the economy. Sure, the government spends tons and tons on the war against drugs, also discouraging the use of drugs, keeping people with plans of doing something with their lives and being successful on the right track, no offense intended.

I think drugs should clearly stay illegal. For one I've had 3 friends that did drugs. Each has dropped out of school so that they could work at there job so they could buy more of the drugs. I slowly lost touch with them and now i dont hear from them. Want to know why? They're ****ing dead. 2 of them died in a car wreck while they were high, and the other one died during a drug deal, the dealer pulled out a pistol and shot him 3 times, took his money and was never found.

having illegal durgs or forbiden things just makes people more prone to wanting them.

The bible was good for one thing. It taught that when it comes to humans anything illegal or forbiden is wanted alot more than anything legal. Take Adam and Eve. God said dont eat the apple....Eve got the bright idea of hay lets just give it a go and if its no good we wont do it again. If god had said everything is yours then most likely none of it would have gone down. But thats all speculation.

The point I'm getting at is that with drugs being illegal, still a small percentage of people actually DO them, although it's blown out of proportions. With them being illegal, the people that will someday run the country know that it shouldn't be done. Although other drugs don't kill nearly as many as cigs (which I am utterly and totally against), those who do drugs generally enjoy wasting their life away getting high and dropping out of school, never able to keep a job in the process, and they have very little impact on society anyway... In fact, they're hurting the economy being dumbasses. Again, no offense.

First, the percentage isn't as small as you might think. The number is kind of hard to pin down, most people if asked will say they would never do drugs, then go home and fire up a bowl. Most companies have zero drug tolerance, so you know the people who work there will say they don't use them.
Second, the people who will run our country? You mean like Bill Clinton(who didn't inhale, wink wink), or George W. Bush who was a major coke-head in college? There are many other examples, but those come to mind off the top of my head. Oh, yeah, who was the baseball pitcher who in his career pitched 2 no hitters, both while tripping on acid.

Find some one who hasn't done drugs......Almost impossible.

Also don't you realise we would put restrictions on age and such? I also feel it would be good to point out that the cost of these if legalised is not a ****ing thing to talk about since we have gambling in legalised forms.
