his polls are pointless. you should trash them all.

Benchmarks and RLG all say that nVidia is the top dog in this round of VC competition. With SLI on the horizon it will only increase the lead that niVidia has gotten this round, as long as the SLI interface works WELL unlike its predecesor.

It's predecesor works quite well in fact. It's only shortcoming was the price. 800$ per card. And SLI on not on the horizon. It's the present.
#9
When its mainstream its "on" for now alot people are not even aware that they can use two video cards in the correct setup.

Go look around for the right class of people. Most people who have some clue about hardware and keep up to date have been hearing about this for ages. Also, I've had alot of requests for SLI boards. 100+. That's alot in a town of 18,000. I'm pretty sure that quite a fair amount of people know about it.
#11
100+ isnt even 10% but beyond that. Lets get this all back on track.

I use ATi, currently an ATi Radeon 9600 SE. Only because ATi is what I've been introduced into. Never used an nVidia. ATi has released it's ATi x850, haven't read any reviews yet, looks good though. Big Grin

They're pretty good but now ATI's going with the dual-slot thing. That sucks.

ati all the way... navida .. cant handel hl2 very well... ati has much better technology.. and their cards r much less complex compare to navida.. (well thats wat i think) they load much faster too ..ati has the proformence and grafics....but navida has much bette rproformence then ati but grafics not that well.. bad thing about ati is that there are many glitches..
#17
Actually, ATI only has a few FPS lead on nVidia chips of the same generation, as to my experience and any ATI card is compounded by a high end SLI setup from nVidia.
#18
but ive tryed both cards before n i noticed that ati has much better proformence and grafics then nivida
#19
Im an Intel Nvidia boy so im bias, I say go with nvidia, heck their products last. I just put my old Nvidia Geforce 2 mx420 in my girlfriends computer. ( she is using it for word and the like) and it still runs like brandnew so yea...
#20
got a point there tho.. but ati has just smoother loading things... but ur got that pt rite.. navida lasts.. and ati doesnt lol thats how they make money yah?
