Help Puttin a sig on the site...

Hey, im new to this site and ive been lookin around for a while...

i found the place with tutorials for sigs and i downloaded the photoshop.

i made a sig, but i dont know how to put it onto the website... :confused:

could anybody help me????....that would b cool

Use the file uploader, in the links box at the top of the screen.

do you mean in the profile..? ive tried doing that, but it asks for a URL when i try to add a sig...idk wut the URL is...

Use the file uploader. It gives it it's own address on the site and you can just link it in. Here's a link to the file uploader.

yeah. go to ^^ that site and hit browse, find the file on your computer, hit okay or w/e, then it gives you a URL. go to your user control panel and put in the URL in image tags, and it'll show up in your sig.

i found the sig and put it into the upload thing...but it didnt work....ummm i dont get it

the upload thing says you cant have any invalid characters(like /, \ , etc...) and the URL thingy i got for the sig i want to put in has those....wut do i do

then change the filename of the signature. take out any illegal characters and you're alright.

i dont get how all of you get ur pics into here...because all the ones i make are .psd files...and those arent allowed or something stupid like that...do i have to change the file type and/or directory...????

if so, how do i do that?

The uploader only allows .gif. jpeg and zip files, so your pretty ****ed.

no you're not ****ed. go into photoshop, open up those psd files, hit save as in the file menu, save them as .jpg's and then you can upload them.
and for future reference, try not to post that many times in a row, you can edit your first post to include more information...bottom right hand corner of every post is the edit button. so go save your files as jpgs and come back.

eh....i really dont get it then....because i made the sig with Adobe Photoshop CS...which is pretty much what everyone uses...and they get theirs on here without a problem ...

so how come they can do it and i cant???

go to file, save as and type "file name".gif or .jpeg instead. you can probably choose a different file type in the drop down menu under the file name field.

alright i got it....i changed it to a JPG file or w/e...

now i upload it...it worked and then what do i do to make it my sig

go to user/cp and go to edit signature, type [i.mg](insert URL of image)[/i.mg] but without the periods.
