Socket Quest Question.

I have a question. if you use the socket quest to socket a normal(white) item...does it add the maximium number of sockets to that item? ive heard it several times from friend/people on battle.net but ive also heard ppl say the opposite. any way...can any one confirm this true or false?

The socket quest adds ONE socket to an item.

i know 100% that it gives more than just 1 socket b/c i had a white monarch that had 4 os after i did the quest thingy

well ive heard it adds ONE socket to a magical item...i.e. blue, gold, yellow...i was just cheking for white items.

Yup. Find an eth zerker and Larzuk it up... it will be 60s, regardless of the difficulty.

hmm, magic items (as in blue items) can get 2 sockets. sets, uniques, rares will get 1 socket. and then i think regular items can get full sockets. i'm not 100% sure about all of this, but i have gotten 2 sockets on a magic item (i think it was a cruel colossus).

regular (white) items get sockets based on their ilvl. if an item is ilvl 80 or higher it will get max sockets from larzuk on any difficulty.

Not true on White Items, it's actually 5/6 of the time that it will add max sockets the rest is random for blue color items up to 2 sockets and for uniques/rare/set it will only b one.
