So what exactly IS a real Goth? To be a "real" Goth there would have to be a universally accepted defintion and so far we have shown there is not one. Have you found one?

"Near" me there is only one but seeing how buying online is popular the little kiddies get ahold of the stuff anyways. I remember when walking out of Hot Topic you would get stared at like you were the devil incarnate. Now when your walking out you nearly get run over but 10yrs and their parents coming in.

Hot Topic used to be cool, now like sinner said you see whiny kids in there and thier parents who don't mind thier kid's being annoying posers anything to make up for thier lousy parenting though.
IMO a Goth is a cynic they don't have to hate the world, but they are rather more jaded about it all and prefer to express these feelings in thier clothing/acting, many of my friends are Goth and they are surpisingly more intelligent then you would think.

I go to Hot Topic every once in a while to pick up a CD, or get some shirts. I usually hate going in one, because of all the poser people. Full of Mall Goths, and "Punks".

You go to HT to pick up CD's? Why? They mark up their cd's by like $4-$6. Just go to Sam Goody's or Best Buy or even Circuit City. They all have better CD prices than HT. Hell if you can start DL'ing off the net if you must.

I would never buy a CD from Hot Topic, like you said Sinner, they mark up the prices. I go there to buy shirts and accesories, only place I know to buy CoF shirts other than E-Bay. The reason Hot Topic attracts little 10 year olds is because of the other shirts and stuff they have, hell I've seen Care Bears at Hot Topic.

Yes, a fifth grader has no real reason to slit their wrists. My cousins friend who at the time was in 6th grade almost slit her wrists but she said Good Charoltte's song "Hold On" kept her from doing it. LAME.
