Bone/Golem Necromancer?

I've been wondering for a while if a Bone/Golem Necromancer would be viable in Hell difficulty? The idea is to max Bone Spear and it's synergies and put one point in a golem, golem mastery and summon resistance. You would rely on +X to skills to boost your golem in strength.

The strategy here would be to have your golem tank the blows while you bone spear/corpse explosion everything. For bigger fights(Duriel and so on) you can Bone Prison the boss and Bone Spear him.

Think that would work? I just don't want to spend time building a necromancer that isn't even sure to be viable in hell...

Use marrowwalk boots, and dont put any point in bone prision. It will give you a lvl.33 syn-energy.
1 point in clay golem shoud be enough, and 1 into summon resist.

Marrowalk Glitch? I heard about it but I didn't think it would work....Ok I'm going to test that whole build out and post how it went.

It does work. By wearing those boots you get a invisible lvl 33 bone prision for syn-energy usage.
It only works if you have 0 points in bone prision skill.

it gives huge bonus to:
Bone Spear
Bone Armor
Teeth
Bone Spirit
Bone Wall

If you ever get an enigma one time, set 1 point in revive, skelton master and summon resist. In PvP battles it can save your *** plenty of times. If you use a big monster as a rivive, it makes a lock wich disables the monster of walking away from you. 3 min is plenty enough time for a battle.

Well with 20 points free(from not maxing bone prison), I guess I can invest into summoning a bit too. I have an Enigma but it's on my MF Sorc...don't wanna xfer it...or maybe I should???

No sorc have use of enigma. Use it on your necromancer. If i where to advice some skills, its this:

Max:
Bone Spear
Bone Spirit
Teeth
Bone Armor
Bone Wall

1 point in:
Revive
Skeleton Mastery
Summon Resist

After this point, you shoud focus in 1 curse:
Iron Maiden if you use reives as a shield (Good for pro gamers)
Decriphify is good since you dont use bone prision
Amplify if you just wanna have a cheap curse

Ok so i will xfer my Enigma to my necromancer. I will max the skills you told me and add point into summoning. I never thought about Iron Maiden....it IS deadly when you go against monsters so I don't see why it wouldn't for them.

A nice investment like you said...

When player hits a player with Iron maiden on himself, he gets 1/10 returned.
When player hits a monster with Iron Maiden on himself, he gets the same amount of dmg returned as showed on the skill.
Skeletons, revives, golems, valkyrie, shaddows and so on are monsters. Mercants too.

But you might chooce to use decripify. Only bad thing about it is that it has short range.

I have enough points to put on in each and see which one is the most useful. Iron maiden sounds like a good curse since my revives will be Cannon Fodder mroe than anything else.

Iron Maiden is good vs all who do fycial melee dmg to you, but decriphify is vs all.
MA Assassins cant tutch you and barbars cant kill you if you use iron maiden.
Its all a matter of what you like.

I'll put one point in both of them for now and see which one has the most use. I will use Iron maiden against monsters. I usually go PvM instead of PvP but there is a lot of idiots joining my games and challenging me to a duel...might be handy.
