why anime is good

anime isnt just a cartoon that you watch. its good for the story lines, characters, people, imagination. when you watch an anime try to watch it from the beginning. for example "kenshin oav's" (only available on video) there are 5. i have them all and i will send them to you if you are intested in getting into anime. this isnt a flame thread or anything, i just think that when someone sees an anime and it has 300 episodes and hey see like 120, of course they arent going to like it if they dont understand what is going on.

anime is good for the story like kenshin for example... he's a child growing up under a man that teaches he to be the deadliest assasin of his country, after having his family and other people murdered in a field in front of him...

that would be an ecellent movie if it were made in hollywood and im sure you (the person reading this) would go see it in the theatre.

my point is... if you want to watch anime a good place to start would be at the beginning. actually sit and watch a couple episodes, just because one anime sucks doesnt mean they all do. its the same for movies, just because some suck doesnt mean they all do.

Im sorry, But anime was never Made for children, Companies that make pokémon and such fourth turned it into a childrens program.
Look at hellsing for Example, It is Extremely violent, Akira, Aswell, Has some very "out there" views that children would just not grasp.

You are aware that G-Taste is a HENTAI anime and not meant for children right. Maybe there is a more...subdued version of it but I KNOW there is a hentai version.

But anywho more on topic. Anime is an aquired taste. I doubt many of you actually sip and taste scotch and the like for texture and flavor but its akin to that. You have to enjoy the style (aka texture) in which the anime is laid out and then you have to enjoy the genre (aka flavor) of that particular anime in order to actually enjoy anime.

When I was at college I introduced a guy who had tried watching anime in the past but could never get into it. So as a test I flip on Angle Sanctuary and the guy was hooked. Ends up he enjoys biblical related stories or at least stories involving angles. I then proceed to find and burn for him a series called Ash. The guy is now a huge fanatic of biblical/angle related anime and actually has some repsect for the hard work and effort that anime artists and writers put into the product.

Its all about finding anime that is based on a subject you enjoy. Not everyone will like ALL animes.

Anime simply isn't kiddy, some of the deeper anime out there really blow's my mind when I really think about it, good anime is like an Indy film, only some people will understand/love it and other's will hate it because they are to ignorant to try and understand it.
