i read the book Fight Club over the summer for a class and i thought it was the most inspirational and enlightening book i have ever read
the bad news is that my english teacher doesnt recognize it as a ingenius book with social commentary contrary to all the guys in class standing up at once in protest
do you think Fight Club as a story is worth as much mention as the classics Huck Finn or Great Gatsby?

Fight Club as good as Huck Fin and The Great Gatsby? NEVER! I'll agree the book and movie were great but in no way will English teachers 50yrs from now be holding discussions on Fight Club the book or Fight Club the movie.
It would on the other hand be well suited for discussion in a psychology class. Talk about a complete break from reality. If it was real it would have been one for the psychology history books thats for sure. Ranking right up there with Sibil and When Rabbit Howls, which by the way if you like books about MP the later is an excellent book and usually overlooked.

of course i read a lot of books.
that's why im finding common themes in them. i am also educated enough to analyze the metaphorical language in the book for hidden meaning
and im also educated enough to debate without resorting to crude insults
