Norton Anti-Virus 2005 as my guard. If I really think theres a problem, I sometimes resort to a program with another good detection rate.

Nice list. Norton doesn't suck, it just shouldn't be the only anti virus you use. As a rule of thumb always use two on auto detect, one firewall at least, and run spyware scans with more than one spyware detector once weekly if you really want to be as clean as possible without completely formatting and/or doing a full registry check and edit.

Great list. I myself like to keep 2 pieces of AV software and two firewalls always up and running.

I wouldn't recommend doing that. Most of the time they fight with eachother. Spyware wise, use Mozilla Firefox, and resort to the following for scans:

WebRoots Spysweeper
Spydoctor
Microsoft Anti-Spyware
