PvP Charger Help

i want to make a good charger but i never made one before and need help from people whove had experience with one.

STATS:
str: enough for equip i guess any1 know roughly how much?
dex: i have no idea how much i need
vita: rest after i figure first two
ene: none

SKILLS:
max charge
max might
max vigor
max fanaticism
..wut else after this??

EQUIP:
helm: Vamp Gaze? Coa?
armor: Arch Coh?
Weap: Ebotd War Pike?
Ammy: Angelics
Rings: Anglics (maybe 1 rfrost if i dont cham something?)
Belt: Dengoes or Spider?
gloves: Soul Drainer?
boots: gore riders

i really need a lot of help with that.. let me know what u all think.

well this is a little tricky... for a charger, the best ladder weapon imo is eth death warpike.
since there is no shield, you only need enough dex for um...... probly 17k ar or so.

after maxing fant id say but some pts into blessed aim for a passive 5% to ar each time.

weapon 2 shield 2:cta+spirit

i hear charge isnt based on ias, but fantacism will be your main aura anway. with your massive crushing blow any target will probly die in 1 hit, any sorc will for sure.

u have 2 options here...shield, or no shield.

shield:
-pro - room for error. if u miss, u won't get sliced in half/shot down by ur opponent.
-con - lower dmg. not a huge problem, since charge itself adds a ton of dmg already.

no shield:
-pro - guarenteed to kill most chars in one hit.
-con - u don't stand a chance against melee opponents with high life and/or high defense.

personally i prefer a shield build with eth death ettin axe, but that's just me. most ppl prefer the shieldless overkill build. keep in mind that holy shield and any kind of defense is useless to a shieldless crusader (fancy name for charger).

a friend actually suggested maxing blessed aim and using it instead of fanaticism for a shieldless build. since charge itself adds a huge amount of dmg, it may be better to focus on attack rating to ensure that it hits. it hasn't been tested, but that's just another option.


this is what i would use on a shield build:
-eth death ettin axe (highest dmg one-handed weapon that death can be made in)
-stormshield (that's most of ur DR right there), or phoenix (for a serious glass cannon)
-guillaume's face (maximize CB and DS), or CoA (if u don't have enough DR)
-fortitude (big dmg), or upgraded shaftstop (if u don't have enough DR)
-gore rider
-verdungo's
-bloodfist, or steelrend (slightly more dmg. not really needed though. i don't think it's worth the str pts)
-angelic ammy + rings

im nonladder so i cant use a lot of the stuff u guys r mentioning. and im gonna go with shieldless bcuz i want more dmg and im mainly making to kill casters since i already have some good melee duelers.

here's another thing about shield vs shieldless. casters generally have low life, so excessively high dmg is, well, excessive. also, shields can give u a lot of resists.

just to be safe, u could keep a good one-handed weapon and shield in ur stash, in case any combat type chars show up.

i wonder about blessed aim, if you have enough ar to hit a sorc, if u get 2x as much ar will u hit the sorc 2x as often, or is it just range that does that.


every pt into blessed aim gives 5% more ar to your total attack rating, if your total=20000 then you get 1000 more ar with just 1 pt.

i still dont get y i would put extra points into blessed aim if fanat is my main aura.

mainly i need help on deciding how much Dexterity im gonna need. any1 know?

some ppl prefer to use blessed aim as the main aura because the charge dmg is high enough without fanat.

if u're not using a shield, dex should be enough to hold ur weapon.

couldnt u make eth death berserker axe and that would be more dmg then ettin?

i saw this one caster killer using g angel for armor and salvation for aura for 90 res all and he was owning the casters

i think ettin has higher average dmg, but berserker has higher max dmg.
