yeh, but now it rolls over so around 400-500 it starts back over. The ideal mf is 80-100 or if you are gonna meph its 180-250

Currently playing with 1037% Magic find (-1% from max...if you have a 40% magic find ring I will trade for it btw) I can seriously comment on this topic.

With max magic find you will find exactly that, MAGIC ITEMS, those are the blue ones. In any given day of playing, hell mephy will normally drop 6 items. with high mf you rarely see gold, scrolls drop. of the 6 items 1-2 will be a set or a unique and the rest will be blue.

However, the quality of the magic items are normally either elites, or if not then the normal's and excep's will have 7+ mods and about two thirds of them will have either e-defence or e-damage of some kind. So if you looking for elite low lvl dual items then go will full mf. You will find 1 socketed item in a 1000 items dropped as well. (best guess)

In my experience these last 3 years, a good amount of mf to use is between 100-750%, and then that depends on what you are killing. I have seen it all happen. I have had elites drop from non uniuqe boss's many times, and seen squat from act boss's depending on the mf i was using at the time.

When you carry 36 charms and a cube, you have to choose the items you take to the next game, normally where my buddy is waiting to collect trade items or I make a 'free stuff' game to dump the commons.

If your looking for elite set/uniques here is the best way to tell if your doing well, and have a good chance of success here is what you do. When the mf you carry causes elite items to drop with max sockets for that item (i mentioned sockets b4) then you are right on the money. I have noticed that when i find a balrog blade with 4 sockets for example, I will also have just found or will find another elite unique/set item. It is just what I have witnessed.

i tried mephy with 249 mf and he drops shit, and now i'm using almost 800 mf and he maxed my lvl 80 sorc's stash in like 20 runs, and maxed her gold in about 30 runs, and that is not a bad achievement

I only wish i could go 20 runs, if i make it 3 runs without having to mule it's a bad couple of runs. Oh, yea i sell all the commons for gold so that is nice cuz most are 30k or more a pop, and I do have a gambling habit because i craft all the time... heh.
