To skip to bnet, add -skiptobnet just like the -ns.

Hey. i had the same problem once..... i just kept on re-installing tha damn thing tell it was fixed.
And if re-installing it doesnt help then u might want to try and re-installing windows too... i think i had to do that once too. and if neither of those works then do like it says above..... get a new disc.......

No problem Zak. I'm glad you can play again.
But basically you can never hear the music to Diablo again unless to somehow get the CD fixed, or you can borrow a friends CD and copy the mpq's to your Diablo folder and play without the CD using D2 Loader.

You want my advice? Download Onlyer's No-CD Loader, and then borrow a friend's Expansion CD to copy over D2xMusic.mpq and d2xvideo.mpq to your game directory, and you'll no longer need the CD to play the game.
Or, if you don't happen know anyone with an Expansion CD but still want to hear sound (and play without your CD), I happen to have the two neccessary files uploaded and ready for download. I've borrowed some bandwidth from my college, and their FTP server isn't exactly the fastest in the world, so it might take a while to download them.
I'm not sure about how long I can keep it there, but I'll let you know before I remove it. I can guarantee that it'll be up for the next few days, but if you need to download it, don't hesitate.
EDIT: Spelling.
