Moat trick

Hi, i'm not sure if this is the right forum but i'll post any way :p .
Whats the moat trick. i no this sounds a noobish question but how do u do it. every 1 says tele from 1 side of the moat to the ova . this dont work for me so if anyone can explain it thourgly or has a video recording of the doing it etc i would apreasiate it. ty

Basically to describe what his pic means (i'm gunna assume your a sorc or have some way to tele) first tele over and force meph to follow you (perhaps you could static a little or do a little preliminary attacking) then you back over and stand where that dude in pic is. Make sure you are out of mephs attack range, and you will notice that meph will neither attack nor go back to his original position. instead he will just stand right there, perhaps move to the left/right a little. Just attack him with all you got (whether that's blizz or some other ranged attack) and kill him, then tele back over the moat to reclaim your prize. badda-bing, badda-boom.

easiest to do the moat trick with no merc, he just draws attacks

The moat trick is where you bring Diablo to the moat and tele over so that you can kill him from a distance.

Don't bring your merc. You can see in the pic that they get owned lol.
