cd key problem

i think this is the right place i havn't been here in a while. when i get on d2 some times it says someone else is using my cd i have never told any one my cd key is there some hack that lets people see my cd key.

Maybe someone you know got a hold of your key when they came to your house or something. Maybe you downloaded a trojan virus and someone broke into your computer and took the key.

Also, while I don't believe there are any "hacks" perse that can steal your cd key, many viruses can. I recoomend scanning your computer with an antivirus, Spybot S&D and Microsoft antispyware.

If you are running any P2P filesharing programs that could do it, because I have like 5 cd keys so I keep them all stored in a .txt file in case something happens to the cases. Some of them dont even have cases, so I have to.

Most p2p file sharing programs search your computer for files that could be shared, or folders that you have allowed them to share.

Sometimes you get disconnected from battle.net, and if you get back on it would say that your using it for five minutes, maybe you just forgot what your registered your game as.

Some cd key generators have been known to generate already exsisting cd keys taht peopel use and thats how that happens with alot of people.

The chance someone rolls exactly your CD key using a generator is astronomically low, on an average of once every 36^20 times (that's less than once every 13'000'000'000'000'000'000'000'000'000'000 times). It's far from likely that anyone, ever, have rolled your exact CD key with a generator, yet alone anyone you know.

He stole it from the back of your CD case when you weren't looking.
