Just how risky *is* using a maphack?

Blizzard publicized the number of maphack related bans they've done recently, but I'm wondering how many people using them inconspicuously (e.g. not bragging about it in games) are actually getting caught. I want to use one for the item drop level readout, but I don't want to install the thing if it's going to lose me my account, since it's more of a convenience issue than anything else.

I've been using Maphacks for about 2 years now. I haven't been banned.

ive been using map hack since i started d2 whcih is about a year and ive never had any problems even though i did get banned on SC for using a map hack

ive been using mh since i started when 08 became 09 and havent been banned. (not like im stupid enough to tell people i use it anyway)

Its a hack that gives you the complete map hence the name "map hack"

well I don't publically advertise that I have mh, but you sort of know that about 80% of people who play have maphack. Also, if someone asks me if I have mh i never tell them I do, even though they go of course you do you tele to andy in 3 seconds, then I just tell them I know the way, which I do in Mephisto (durance), and they go w/e and I go okay w/e urself and so far I have not gotten banned.

EDIT: do realize that if a Blizz Hacker Seeker comes on this site we are all screwed. We use hacks we use bots, we even crack bots/mh's that cost money to use. Oh, and our acc names are in the clan area diis thingy isn't that convenient martass2

And yeah, the item drop level readout thing is probably just another feature on maphack im guessing.... I use C3PO because its easier to run multiple windows with, but mousepads has alot of extra features, it will even tell you how many runs you have left until the next level, at least thats what my friend told me( but he's a dumbass anyway )

well i have used c3po because of the fact you don't run it through other files so it is pretty much undectable but domn't say your using one

ilvl is used to reroll gcs if the lvls high, and I think blizzard stopped caring because 80% of people do use mh, and they can't ban everyone.

The only thing I've ever been banned for was using a Meph bot back in 1.09.

Blizzard schooled me. I haven't used any public hacks since.

ive never heard of some one being banned for maphack
also what maphack shows you what an item is socketed with cause i have a -24/+ 18 griffons and if the lit facet is -4/3 that would mean i have perf griffons
