1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to flexiboys guide to the quickest way of leveling,
Baal runs! This guide is not hugely in-depth but it covers the
basics of baal running. Anyway enjoy
2. WHAT IS A BAAL RUN?
A baal run is where you and your party (8 is recomended) get to the
throne of destruction and fight the waves of baal minions, strating
easy and getting harder. to get to the throne i would recomend having
a sorc with maphack teleporting to the throne and giving a tp
for your party. when you get to fight baals minions the exp you gain
is unreal, you'll proberly level twice in the first run![[Image: cheesy.gif]](http://4d5.net/boardimages/cheesy.gif)
After the waves baal runs away into the worldstone keep.
If you want to you can folow him to fight him and complete
that dificulty. This is not recomended because he is quite hard
for low levels. here are his stats:
Level
Norm Night Hell
60 75 99
as you can see in hell he is level 99. Thjis can be quite a chalange
fir a character not fully max to his (or her) full potential.
Although baal is hard his exp is high.
(Taken from the arreat summit)
3. WHEN SHOULD I DO A BAAL RUN
Whenever you can! If you are a low level and have been boosted
to hell or nightmare then there is a problem. In norm
you need to be at least level 25 to do
baal runz, 40 in nm and 70 in hell. other than that
you can simply get a party
of high level characters to help you. Just
stay within two screens of the party to get exp
or
get involved.
4. WHAT CHARACTERS ARE BEST FOR BAAL RUNS?
Hammerdins. simple as that. they kick ***. Equipt with an enigma
they just tele into a group of monsters and kill. This is another
reason why hammerdins are the best rushers.
5. OTHER RUNS
Other types of runs can be fun but have litte exp. some other runs are:
tristrun - runing through tristram killing all the mininon
(needed for act 1 q 3)
tomb run - running tal rashas tomb
diablorun - running through diablos chaos sancuary opening all the portals and
then killing diablo.
baalrun - Do i need to explain this?!
sewerrun - you run through the sewers of lut gohim and kill all the skeletons.
6. STRATGY
the best stratgy for a baalrun is to not kill. this may sound stupid but
it works. You need a big party to help you but it is efective.
Basicly what you do is train a defence/attack skill (one that
does damage but protects you i.e hurricane) to level 20. Then
you can stand in the corner (but must be two screens near your party)
and gain exp for doing nothing. You will level quickly. When you
get litte exp from that mode's baal run get some one
too boost you or do it yourself and get to the next difficulty and train
there.
i personally do not recomed this because u get less exp (from not killing) and other players call u "noob leacher" and generally get pissed off.
7. THE TWO SCREEN EXP RULE
The Two screen rule is somthing quite smart. Basicly it is that you
have to be two screens away from your party to recive exp from that party
kill. This stops Noobs (******s) from joining a baal run when they are
still in act 1.
8. CLASS RATINGS
Amazon -
Amazons have many diffrent clases (bowazon, javazon etc) so
here i will judge an all round amazon (skills in all class sections)
They can hit quickly and powerfully and they get quite alot of health
easly.
10/10
Assasin-
Trapsasins are the only types of assasins i have seen useing baal runs
so i'll judge these. They have a high power electric trap that if set all
around the drop zone (where baals minions land) can cause high damage
if not kill all the minions.
9/10
Barbarian -
Barbs are reasonably good if you are a high level as you can hit
extreamly high. combined with a high level B.O and wirlwind you
will be a extreamly usefull member to the team![[Image: smiley.gif]](http://4d5.net/boardimages/smiley.gif)
8/10
Nercomancer -
necros are quite good. they have a wall to stop monsters attacking
and if you max out skele's with full trang-oul (necro set) you
will pawn all![[Image: wink.gif]](http://4d5.net/boardimages/wink.gif)
7/10
Paladin -
paladins are really good especially hammerdins. they can get attack
rating into the 9000's and hit high if made correctly.
10/10
sorceress -
sorceresses are reaaly good in baal runs. they have good spells that can
be used from long distances without taking damage from monsters
such as blizzard or meteor (note: there was a meteor bug but that
has been fixed if someone tells you not to cast meteor just
ignore them.)
10/10
Druids -
Lastly druids. These have a varity of spells from wearwolves to
elementalists so i will review the mixed elemental druid. They have good
flame and cold spells which hit reasonably high with good defence spells
to back them up.
6/10
As you can see pretty much every char is good for baal runs in a team
so dont underestimate any char, its all down to you
9. quick exp.
There is a quick easy way to get exp. if you dont want to enjoy
the game (or are just fed up with doing act 1). here goe's:
Level 1-15 trist runs (quick exp)
Level 15-20 tomb runs (easy u can get to 20 in 1 game if u do all the
tombs)
20-25 cow runs (get a high level friend to help you cows are hard at
your level)
25 ancients ( again get a friend to help.)
(Note: you auto level from Ancients)
26-45 Norm baal runs
45-75 Nightmare baal runs (rush again)
75-99 Hell baal runs
so there you have it a quick guide to leveling![[Image: wink.gif]](http://4d5.net/boardimages/wink.gif)
B.T.W: This is NOT as fast as tools way of leveling in chaos sanctuary
