new patch

sorry if somebody already asked this, but i didn't see any.

When does v.11 come out? i don't want to buy v.10 again if 11 is coming out soon.

(i did own d2 for a while, but my grades dropped so my dad burned it. My friend is saving my account for me.)

All patches are free. Since they are working on D3 I dont belive there are any plans for a 1.11 patch for D2

DOnt think they are working on D3. There are no Diablo Workers anymore really. They all hopped aboard the Guild Wars crew (Thank god, that game is awesome)

Their probably won't be a new patch ever, nor a new diablo. The creators left blizzard and are now working on Guild Wars, and Hellgate:london, which is a shooter/rpg. Instead of a new patch, they have the ladder, which supplies new items.

Diablo team was and still is bigger than 5 people
Last month Blizzard announced a job offering for a new Lead Game Designer to lead team that designed Diablo and Diablo II. Those who missed this can read it here
In addition to this Blizzard have bee recruiting allot of game designers and programmers lately, among them was Dustin Browder who was the game design director for Battle for Middle-earth Electronic Arts
Back in summer 2004 a computer magazine hinted that D3 was in a planning stage although not officially yet in development.

Well allot seems to point to the early beginning of D3, a bit similar to when D2 started, when D2 was announced it was already in development.

Personally I belive there will be a D3 even if it hasnt been officially announced yet :wink:

You go out and buy Diablo and the expansion then when you connect to battle.net your game will automatically update at no cost to you.

Blizzard said they will keep anti-cheats on Diablo II up to date, and I'm sure they will eventually fix up the errors in 1.10. But doesn't say when. Don't expect it any time soon.
