If your maphack // bot doesn't work its because of: Blizzard has released a new extrawork.dll file. Several very used programs detect this and self-unload to prevent the risk of beeing detected.
Battle.net is sending out a new dll file when you log on. C3PO, d2jsp, and mousepad's maphack all unload when an unknown dll file is being executed. Right now, only USWest and USEast are sending out the new dll file. According to njaguar, this new dll file is safe.
Keep all discussion of the new dll file on this thread.
Here is a list of ways you can get the hacks to work:
Works for: All hacks
Method: Load the hack after logging in.
Saftey: If battle.net changes the dll file, and adds detection code that scans the memory after logging in, you will not be protected.
Works for: All hacks
Method: See deathronzor2's post. (Post #2)
Saftey: Extrawork won't run at all. This is detectable even for extrawork files that are safe.
Works for: Mousepad's maphack
Method: Change "New Version Dll Action" from 2 to 0 in the config file.
Saftey: You will not be protected from new extrawork files at all.
Works for: D2jsp
Method: If you have paid for d2jsp, download the newest one.
Saftey: No saftey problems
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
go to diablo directory
delete files: bncache.dat, IX86ExtraWork.dll, IX86ExtraWork.mpq (if they exist)
make 2 new text documents and name them IX86ExtraWork.dll and IX86ExtraWork.mpq and make both files archived, hidden, and read-only.
This at least makes c3po not crash.

IX86ExtraWork.dll Is not something new this file has been around for sometime but it is only turned on every now and than. This is not a file that is used to detects hacks this file is used only for the purpose as stated below from another person that belongs to another forum.

As you can see where its registry value is stored, its probably to "Optimize" their software..... </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
In your registry you have this line HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Battle.net\Optimize\SysDesc (REG_DWORD) If the DWORD is 1 Than you gave battle.net permission to look into your registry and pull system specs, if it is 0 than you did not. This file is not permanent it is only used to gather information to update there programs to work better and smoother for all users. I would estimate that within another day or so it will no longer be in use and these patches and updates will not be needed.
The reason the programs are unloading is cause they are told to, it is not blizzard telling them to unload. The people that wrote the programs you are using IE: Mousepads, C3PO, and D2JSP are told to unload upon detection of this file. So stop worrying give it another day or so and you will be fine.

For those of you that have no idea what your doing maybe this will help. Download and unzip these files to your Diablo II folder and replace any existing ones, if none exist than just extract these to the folder and enjoy.

In order for this to work properly you must edit this line in your registry to 0.
