Ok, so I need to find out what kind of socket my mobo is. My friend said I could just lift the CPU out and it'd say somewhere below the type of socket. It didn't.
So I need to know based on the fact that it's an Intel Celeron what kind of socket it is or if there's a way I can find out on my own. Either way, help me find out.
Also, I was going to buy a bigger harddrive. Can I have two harddrives or can the usual mobo only hold one?
And last, I was wondering if this is good for a CD burner:

Thanks to whoever helps. ^^

Don't know anything about the mobo and stuff, but that's a great cd-burner. My brother has that one and it works great.

you ought to be able to get two HD in there, no problem.
look your mobo up online, or your proc online, it is bound to have the info...

1.)most likely if it was bought in the last few years its a socket 478 celeron. Its plausible it could be a 370 but those are pentium 3 based and older.
2.) Most motherboards can handle a minimum of 2hd's at once. Just make sure that you do not get a hard drive that exceeds the maximum size for your BIOS or it will not register. So buyer beware dont complain if you buy a 250gb hd and the BIOS only recognizes 120gb. Also make sure its IDE and NOT SATA unless your sure you have SATA conenctions on your motherboard.
3.) I actually HAVE that cd burner in beige and its worked fine for me. Burns like nothing else.
Have a good one.

On boot up it should say the name and version of your bios at the top just write it down and then google it.
IDE and SATA are different hard drive interfaces. The main difference beyond price is the data transfer speed. Just make sure to buy an IDE hard drive and if you can not find one at the store ask someone there to show them to you.

Do you think the fan and heatsink will fit my case? And what's wrong with Tigerdirect? My friend bought a CPU and mobo from them and he got his shit fine. 200 dollar purchase.

Last I checked almost all the 478 socket mobo's where ATX. So yes it should fit your case.
Horror stories from a couple of people who order stuff from them that arrived damaged or never at all and tiger would not send money back or reship or anything. Just left them hanging.

Yes. You should be able to google that and find the BIOS updates and specs.

socket 370 and socket A are different as far as I know although i believe socket A was suppose to be the all proc socket or some crazy thing like that. Never held water and died pretty quick if I remember correctly.
