Idea for warning/rep system
#1
How about everyone who hasent been warned/banned for 6 months and meets the 1 year member/500 post req gets Vet status. Might give some incentive for people to be good.
#2
yea, i dont think 90 days is enough and the rep points are kind of in excess to gain vet.
#3
I like how it is now, although I think ninty days is too short, and five hundred is not enough posts, in my opinion it'd be one year, one thousand total posts, and one hundred reputation points.

Probably because I fail to appreciate the beauty in what I see around me constantly.

90 days? How about 6 months. And MiVeC, 100 rep is what it is now i think.
#6
I dont htink that there should be anyhitng to do wiht warnings, but the post should be about 1000 maybe, and at least a year
#7
You guys are completly missing the point! I made this thread so that people who HAVENT been warned ever and meet all the reqs EXEPT THE REP POINTS get vet status.
#8
What is current?
#9
More posts = More spam. Reps are hard to come by to, many rep people for doing stuff like "haxing the school" But won't give reps for stuff like d2 even though this website is called DIABLO II SECTOR FORUMS.

Current what? veteran status reqs?

90 Days
500 Posts
100 Reps

Right?
#11
Yes Neon, those are the requirements. I'm hoping people aren't going to start complaining about how difficult it is to obtain Vet status. It's MEANT to be difficult. It's supposed to be EARNED.
#12
Chesh, the only problem is that I've contributed quite a bit to this forum and I haven't gotten a rep point since like... February.
#13
I only got 16 rep XD and even though if it was changed to that it would help me tremendously I don't think that's such a good idea. The people who are vets here already are mostly the people I would expect to be vets. But that Hacking thread pissed me off because he was getting rep from 2 people for breaking the rules by talking about "hacking".
#14
and i lost all my rep in my absence.
#15
Everyone did...because Dyna said the system was abused because people would give each other free rep.
#16
well whats to stop people from doing that now?
#17
Wow its amazing how everyone is going so damn far OFF TOPIC THAT THEY ARE FORGETTING THE POINT OF THIS THREAD! Do you guys see a thread title saying "HEY LETS WINE ABOUT REPS!".
#18
I'm just answering his question, and non mods or non vets can't give reps.
#19
Maybe registered users should be able to request rep points for someone else? Like a button: report for rep?
#20
That would'nt be much diffrent from the system that was before the current one, plus your still missing the point of this thread. Its about the WARNING SYSTEM and the VET STATUS not rep, I'm gunna change it.

NOW QUIT TALKING ABOUT REP PEOPLE!

EDIT: Ahh to hell with it, this is geting nowhere, aparently no one understands that this topic has nothing to do with rep, the title was just misleading. I'll just talk to chesh directly next time.
