I just got my hands on a phase blade and its now a grief. A few questions:
1) Do I need AR anymore because it has ignore's targets defense?
2) How much IAS do I need to have a solid amount of attacks per second?

I can answer, at least partially, to the first question:
ITD only works fully on non-boss monsters, if you plan to use your character for PVP, I suggest getting some AR, unless you are a smiter (smite hits 95% of the time, no matter what AR you have)

if you are zealer, get a lot of ar.. itd works only on non boss non champion monsters... not players... and if u have grief phase i dont think any more ias is needed.

A barb is using the grief, I wanted to try a new char so I am making a beserker. What about for IAS?

Your IAS should be fine, you'll have between -60 and -70 attack speed, definately enough.

-60-70 is alright... just a side note... berserk converts your physical dmg to magical.... so im thinking, if you have a lot of physical dmg, then your berserk dmg would be very high...
