Editors?

I play Diablo 2 LOD without much knowledge of items... A lot of people get items from hacking, duping, and all that other good stuff. But somepeople say that they load items from internet sites, and use some kind of editor to do it. I was wondering if this is true, and if it is, what is the best editor/hacker to use and how to use it. And if you do give instructions, make it simple, i'm not very good at figuring out complicated things.

It's not that hard to use; it's much easier just to load it up and try out making an item. Most of it is self explanatory, just if you come across that seems difficult don't do it. You may also want to back up your characters before you do so because sometimes adding odd stats to an item (or too many stats) can make the character file corrupt; in that case you just delete that character file, and then replace it with your backed up character file. have fun.
