I can personally play Diablo 2 without MapHack, but it is afterall.. a good helper in some cases [Mfing, Rushing, Finding the Keys quicker, etc.]

If you cannot play Diablo 2 without MapHack.. I dont know what to tell you.. The only thing MapHack makes Diablo 2 is a bit easier doing certain things, but Without Maphack.. You actually have to PLAY THE GAME!!.. Is that so hard people..?

I hit the one. While MH certainly makes things easier, it only helps me out with quests. It's not much help for the important thing...finding those super unique monsters to smack around for items

Been a hell of a long time since ive been on this site or played D2, more then a year i believe.
Started again this ladder thx to a mate that oftens visits blizz homepage.
Maphack... for me the lightradius is the most important thing. I keep hitting walls and hugging enemies in the darkness othervise.

Maphack is a nice thing to have, and i have noticed that my memory for maps is worthless now.
Before i knew almost the entire game by heart, I played single player for 3 years untill i got internet connection!!, obsessive playing affects the brain for sure.
I miss that time... i just loved this game, the mh makes is sometimes boring to play sometimes its a must (before it was).

Drawing a pararel between real life and using hack in a game is just... "stupid" is not the word but close enough. Same for those who claim they dont have the time to play unless having a mh. If so you should not be playing either 'cause the you already got enough in your life and thus stressing yourself by playing. Stupidity...

Silent_killer i agree with you, if none had mh i would be happy without it too.

During writing this i have forgot the point why i started writing a reply. Kinda late here but i agree with hawk too. People are WAY OVER THEIR HEADS obssesive with mh, its so much it feels like a warning that you should stop playing and take a break.

Im playin Diablo since 5 years with 2-3 stoppings for about half year, but now when there is no mh i like the game more i think. It become much harder which i like most. This is my oppinion and i think the mousepad should not create mh its better without one

If you need a MH to play this game, you fail at life.

It's not the chalenge of the game that draws people to play it, it's the chalenge of just merely makeing a strong character and finding the items you want. Have you ever sat down and thought about the fact that maybe some peoples life is so hard that maybe they would like something with just enough challenge to make them like it instead of it being over hard?

I think that playing with MH has been a refreshing experience... because until this point i didnt realize just how dependent i had became to having it... and now its actually more fun to play and not know where im going or what monsters are around.... but i still hate not having a scree-wide light radius.. but as far as the Maphack itself.. i am happier without it just because its closer to how I should be playing it.. but i know that as soon as its out again.. ill be the first guy to dl it and go back to my more convient.. lazy playing style...

ill just sum up what is going on........... If you NEED mh then go make it yourself.... if its not a big deal but it is nice to have it, then wait..... if you dont want to use then enjoy the game in all its true beauty....
as for me i prefer it but im still breathing and my heart is still pumping even though i do not have it... and yes this is my first post on this forum so take your best shot plz.......

So if it sucked so bad, they wouldn't have continued playing. I didn't start using MH untl way after I first tried D2... and I liked it. Yes, MH makes it easier, but a challenge is always fun.

Just because we all want to use mh doesn't mean you have to start goin off about how your a nerd and can dedicate every waking moment of your time to playing the game and memorizing where u go to get where. Some of us have sports to go practice for, so don't be all high-and-mighty just because your a nerd with nothin better to do in your spare time.
