I've tried a few No-CD loaders for D2, because quite frankly I'm sick and tired of the CD-lag you get after killing a boss. But for some reason, none that I've tried have worked.
Now that 1.11 is out, I was wondering if the old ones still work? Also, I don't want to have to download D2 Loader or whatever other packaged programs out there. I just want something that allows me to start up D2 without using the CD.

you could clone the cd using alcohol 120% its just like having the cd but its in a virtual drive it gets past copy protections etc

i prefer daemon tools, very simple and it does only what its suposed to do, create a virtual drive, without ANY flaws
to use daemon tools, simply install it, the load it.
u will c the icon of d-tools in the taskbar
click it and it will show u sumtin like
"x:/drive not loaded"
if it doesnt, who cares, click on whatever pops up
then select the ISO of the file (u must rip ur d2 xpac disc onto ur drive)
wait a while and autorun of d2xpac should appear.
Click play or manually load d2
i play d2 this way and i dont really get problems, this is a no-cd way to play by actually puting the cd in ur computer and letting ur hardrive (wich is halla faster than ur cd drive) to load the game
if u RIGHT click the d-tools icon ur taskbar, u can have more options, such as copy protection bypassing (might need to activate them for d2xpac)
