when i try to connect to bnet i tells me im not connected to the internet, but yet i know that i am because i can go onto any website (such as this one) it takes me to connecting to the fastest server and then thats where it telle me im not connected to the internet. if u can help me solve this problem please help. i would like to get back to bnet asap. Thanx

When I had that problem, I had to uninstall all diablo 2 programs and go to my registry editor and delete all diablo 2 files and diablo 2 files under bnet. I wouldn't recommend doing this without professional help or unless you know what you're doing.

what realm does it say that you are in ?

Did you happen to get your cd key from a cd key generator. If you did it gives you that message.
Another thing might be your firewall. If you have a firewall make sure you disable and try connecting.
The last thing I can think of is that your ip got banned for a while

Maybe you were using a third party program and blizzard caught you?

how long do they ban your ip address for??? cause i havent been able to get on for like a week....still. it still only takes me as far as connecting to fastest server.

if it goes to connect to fastest server means a firewall is bblockin it, if it gives an error message just reconnect to the internet (if ur usin dsl..) try entering other realms, if u can it means u just neeedd to reconnect.. and when this happened were u spamming in the chat? because thats the cause of it, if u type like 3 messages to fast, u get that cuz it suspects u as a bot, although some bots bypass that.

where do i go to see if my firewall is the reason for it????

i dont think that it is my firewall cause i turned al firewalls off and it still only let me go to connecting to the fastest server. so idk what to do?????

What kind of internet Connection do u have? Computer speed and etc...

hey man , i was having the same problem. i would try to connect to USWest and i got the internet modem error page. i thought .. hmm is my key banned. so i tried going on USEast. i made a new account and got right on. so that elemenated the idea of my CD key being banned. I thought maybe it was my IP addy that was banned. on my system i have a modem going to a router going to my comp. usually a router generates a false IP as a firewall. i disconnected my router and hooked my comp strait into the modem. got right on USWest no problem. im not sure what kind of router you have or if you even have one but if you do you can configure the settings and change the IP addy on most of them. find the brand and model number and look up how to do that. it solved my problem. hope it helps you out man.

hey i got that same problem but mine is that doesnt let me connect to any realm. I tried releasing my firewall, it didnt work, tried turning off antivirus, it didnt work either. ive been in this for about 2 days. At first i thought it was a temporary IP ban but i tried to reconnect and nothing happened. I also tried to reinstall diablo like 4 times and it didnt work either, is it that i dled the 1.11 patch from this site? so, if someone can help me i would be very grateful.

i got stuck on "connecting to fastest server" right after i had clicked a bunch of items in a baal game really fast and got instantly disconnected from bnet. Yet when I run CloneHunter i get on instantly and can play. Try using dclone to get on then shutting it off once ur in.

Hello.. I'm starting to have problems too Last night at around 10pm est i was getting the "Unable to connect to Battle.Net" msg so no at 2:45pm est im getting the same message.. I wasnt using any third party programs or MH's etc.. anyone know whats wrong?
